Our Holiday.

It seems like so long since I have posted... We have had a busy week here on the farm.. It has been a very cold week, too cold to even contemplate living in an old house without a wood fire going, but that is what we have done...

We have been living in chaos while we have had our floors polished... The end result is beautiful, but I say now, never again (at least never in winter anyway). We had to pack our bags in the end and have a mini holiday at the garden gate in our tiny caravan. It has a heater, and the smell of the varnish didn't reach that far!!

Now this is for the Nannies out there, with my apologies to everyone else!!

Max, one week old.

  1. I know what you mean about polishing floors, we had to move out for a week when our's were done as it was through most of the house!! Gorgeous photo of Max, what a cutie!

  2. Hello Rosie,

Nothing like holidaying at home. I would have shifted out to. Love the floorboards and Max is still as cute as ever.
    Happy days.
    Bev.
p.s. hope the fire is going.

  6. Your floors look amazing Rosie but it is an ordeal isn't it. My daughter had her floors done and like you she said never again. I live at the beach so we have tiles as sand and polished floors don't mix!! Thank you for your comment on my blog. Wendy told me how to get them working again. Love your little van!

  7. Wow, the floor looks great. Your camping adventure doesn't sound too bad. It is a pain though when you can't get into the house properly. We tiled the whole house and had to move into the lounge room for two days then stay out of the lounge room for two days.
Even though I am not a nanna I can see that little Max is very cute and must be showed off :)
