Friday Night Sew In.

It's not often that I am able to follow through when I join in the Friday Night Sew In  hosted by Heidi .
However, yesterday I had the afternoon to myself and had a Friday Afternoon Sew In instead..

The little patchwork 'hot pot hen' is a pattern found in an old Handmade magazine.. Vol. 11 No. 6.
It uses up scraps of material and is a really quick project..

I had made one for myself many years ago and it has been on its roost in our old kitchen, and now in our new kitchen..

I took the new little chook on a fun photo shoot..

And along came Ralph...

He really is the most beautiful cat...
In the last shot, he gave up trying to get into the picture, and decided to stalk the galahs which had landed not very far away..

  11. Ralph really is a beautiful cat. I had a cat just like him when I was little. His name was Meggsy (as in Ginger Megs of course). We used to dress him up in dolls clothes and wheel him around in a pram. What a patient moggy. I love your hot pot hen too.

  19. Why don't Americans call chickens "chooks"? It makes me smile. Your little patchwork one is just darling! Those would make the sweetest Christmas gifts for ranching neighbors. Your photos of Ralph are just magnificent! He's a very handsome cat and I'll bet he rules the roost. LOL!

I went to Chookyblue's site as you suggested.(http://chookyblue.blogspot.com) Hopefully I followed instructions correctly. Also I failed to mention in my earlier post that Ralph is a very pretty cat!
